I am an 18-year-old student studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney, living on campus at The Women's College. I bring a friendly, engaging personality and strong interpersonal skills, strengthened by leadership experience as a Prefect and Head of House. My involvement in the National Premier League Women’s Soccer competition with UNSW has also taught me the value of teamwork and allowed me to connect with a diverse range of people—qualities that make me well-suited for customer-facing and collaborative roles.
I am currently working as a sports coach at SCEGGS Darlinghurst, coaching both primary and secondary students in Touch Football, Soccer, Athletics and Cross Country. The past couple months in this position has certainly improved my skills working with children; learning to communicate in an engaging and positive manner and how to respond to certain difficult situations. It has also encouraged me to be highly organised and detail-oriented, managing multiple teams at once.
Through working as an assistant at a hair salon in Kings Cross,
I have developed strong communication skills by engaging with a diverse range of clients and learned how to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. The role also taught me the value of teamwork and adaptability, as I supported stylists and adjusted to varying client needs.
I worked casually at the Char Rotisserie in Bronte which was my first job in the hospitality sector. Through this experience I learnt to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team to provide the service and improve the satisfaction of customers. I believe this was a valuable job that taught me to solve problems in this setting.
I worked as an assistant dance teacher at my local dance school where I danced for 15 years, which allowed me to engage with people of many age groups. I learnt to communicate with the younger children as well as the older dance teachers, which I have found to benefit me in collaborating with people outside of the job.
