A Master of Pharmaceutical Science graduate with a passion for molecular biology. I am an avid learner and a thinker who aspires to solve scientific problems and contribute to the knowledge that can help patients manage their conditions. I am knowledgeable in immunology, pharmacology, and molecular biology, complemented by experience with various laboratory techniques. With a strong research interest, I am keen to work collaboratively and engage in meaningful interactions with my team members on diverse projects.
Work History
Visiting Research Scholar
Hudson Institute of Medical Research
07.2024 - 10.2024
Worked independently and collaboratively with a fellow scholar in a project concerning the role of Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) regulators in acute erythroid leukaemia.
Performed Western blots on EMT regulators-knocked down cells to estimate the impacts of different EMT genes on leukaemia cell lines of interest.
Collected and analysed Western blots data using ImageJ and Excel to establish a meaningful conclusion.
Gained an in-depth knowledge on blood cancer through intensive reviews of published research papers on EMT regulators and leukaemia.
Assisted researchers and PhD students with tasks including maintaining leukaemia cell cultures, running Western blots and performing fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).
