At Blue Gum I work part-time at Preschool and After School Care in a mostly outdoor 'hands-on' learning environment. Our approach is driven by the image of the child as competent, capable, creative, responsible, resourceful and resilient. My role includes:

• Providing First Aid, writing and filing concise incident reports
• Preparing nutritious afternoon tea for max. 25 children with various dietary requirements, following strict hygiene standards
• Supporting children through peer conflict, with focus on improving emotional intelligence, problem solving and communication skills, and taking necessary disciplinary action
• Assisting class directors to implement and lead activities that integrate a range of mediums and skills, enriching the learning experience for students.

• Performed opening and closing duties, printed sales reports, set up for incoming shift, prepared cash drawers and took inventory
• Poured fresh Czech draft beer, mixed basic cocktails and made espresso coffee for customers
• Prepared and hosted large events for guests up to 100 people
• Served customers in Czech & English, promoted Australian food & beverages, provided extensive knowledge of product's ingredients, production and cultural differences to local Czech products
• Weekly maintenance of beer gas, espresso machine and keg room, receiving and checking bar stock orders

• Welcomed international customer base, utilizing knowledge of German, Czech, French, Russian, Italian to provide excellent personalized service, creating strong bonds with customers
• Poured draft beer and non-alcoholic beverages
• Served customers at peak hours during bars maximum capacity, checking for walk outs, cleaning tables, promoting drinks, taking food and beverage orders

• Worked for a German family 30hrs/wk with three children; twins aged 10 and 7 y/o with special needs
• Drove approx. 10hrs/wk, escorting children to school and extracurricular activities
• Organized and taught English lessons 2hrs/wk for twins
• Prepared nutritious meals 3-5x/wk for family of 5
• Supported child with special needs to use bathroom and practice speech pathology and Logotherapy exercises
