Thomas Duignan

I worked at FoodWorks in Lakes Entrance for two years. During my employment, I was tasked with stocking the shelves in every department (Liquor, Dairy, Freezers and Produce) to keep the store in perfect condition to maximize customer satisfaction.

During my time at FoodWorks I have also been involved in directly serving and assisting customers either at the checkout registers, the deli or simply when undertaking other tasks around the store.

I have worked at KFC in Bairnsdale for 9 months now, during my time I have been tasked with many different tasks in order to keep business flowing. I work varying hours from 7am - 12am so I am accustomed to early mornings and late nights.

Some of the tasks I have been set with during my time at KFC are:

- Greeting and serving customers

- Packing orders efficiently

- Maintaining the cleanliness of the store

- Cooking Chicken and other menu items

- Communicating with new people

- Working in a team

During the 2024 Bayindeen bushfire I was employed by GBS Recruitment to work at the Great Western base camp. During my one week stay on the base camp I was set to work 5am-5pm days during which I undertook various tasks which started with delivering hundreds of lunches to various locations around the fire front for the CFA and Forest Fire Management firefighters. Once completed I was given other tasks to complete around the camp these included:

- Emptying and refreshing tents for firefighters coming and leaving

- Setting up new tents for extra arrivals

- Taking down tents during the last few days of the camp

- Attending to potential OHS risks and reducing potential hazards
