Driving a Hitachi ZX225 doing most of the earthmoving bulking and final trimming batters and drains while also boxing out roads and the rail way track through the clay so the graders can use clean sand and limestone to build the track. Working alongside 8wheelers, graders and keeping close comms with the personnel on the ground and supervisors for permits,etc. i am also on a 6ton duck mainly trimming V drains and doing service connection and tie ins when needed

Working on a busy haul road job in the Pilgangoora lithium mine bulking and trimming batters and drains while loading out contaminated material and building in layers conditioned material for road and batters while also digging out floodways and rock pitching, digging and laying culverts while keeping in close comms with other heavy plant machinery around me and the supervisors and personnel on the ground

Digging 8mx8m pad foundations for satellite dishes while also tradnching services through the foundation and backfilling to make sure we get the correct moisture content and compaction for blinding so we could build steel cage and do our concrete foundation and then backfill around it, While also keeping close communication with project managers, surveyors and sparkies.

Start of my time here was driving a 5 tonner on a road widening job locating existing services then trenching new trenches for them while digging around other existing services in the ground so we could move them out of the new lane for the road and into the new footpath. Also was on the road Sydney Water pipeline out in Western Sydney mainly slingling the 13m cast iron pipe in and working and reinstating the ground as it was before for the farmers.

Lot of time setting was spent setting both jobs up right so you could be efficient as possible with as little as headaches as possible also close comms with management, truck and dogs, neighbours and locals. Making sure we had correct drawling and permits from management and keeping health and safety on side

GPS Machine Operator: Was mainly gps at this point also a ganger, Experienced working in digging drainage, working around services, service trenching, box cutting, muck shifting and pond works. My GPS experience was in Trimble, Leica ecosystems and topcon. Was all about meeting targets of what needed to be done and safely and knew how to ready the drawings and locating any services that might be in my way and getting my point across to the men and explaining what needed to be done

Working on whole different variety of jobs here from working on big Civils sites to doing water main works and also doing machinery sales and hire.

Gill Plant Services is my old man’s company started on the ground and then got his trust then mainly was a driver for him and a ganger running jobs. My job roles on site were to get there earlier get paperwork sorted and then jump into the digger and get pushing on working from trenching to laying doing earth works cut and fill jobs to driving a JCB 3CX when if we were ever quiet for the water board around our area to North London. Done also a lot GPS work for him boxing out roads and final trimming for tarmac or doing batters. Had some great jobs here communication with qs, project managers, health and safety and also himself.

Working in along with drainage crew on the ground and driving machines was slinging pipes into the trenches, shingling up and back filling in layers to get ground compaction. Also trenching myself when I got the trust from the pipe layers. My main duties though were backfilling getting rid of /loosing excess material, digging gullies and laterals, digging out any road crossings, prepping road and the boxing out for camping and curb brace also did the building trench boxes and man hole boxes. Was great experience starting off having to learn how to communicate with the ganger and pipelayer while also getting taught all tricks from the main driver while also learning how top con systems and Trimble systems work
