Throughout 35 years as an architect and designer, both within Australia and internationally, I have developed specialty skills in healthcare, retail, commercial, residential and interior architecture. Since 2010, I've been a Senior Designer at Perfect Practice and Levitch Design Australia, where I've completed over 100 healthcare projects throughout 12 years and 8 months with the company. My roles include conceptual to final design, including project coordination during construction. As a senior designer, I worked with the clients, various team of designers, contract administrators and project managers to achieve the successful completion of a varied portfolio of projects that includes healthcare facilities and dental surgeries in Sydney and Melbourne. I am versed in Revit and Bluebeam and produces designs quickly, incorporates feedback on demand and highly effective at translating vision into reality. I am successful at generating detailed, accurate designs for mass production.   • Managed and led a team of 35+ staff and consultants for the realisation and completion of time critical corporate and retail projects
  • Conceptualised and managed the fit-outs and renovation of all DiGi's retail outlets within Malaysia, with average budgets of AUD 300K per outlet

  • Supervised, coordinated and complete the construction works for the new 320,000 sq ft new Corporate Headquarters with a budget of AUD 200 M, consisting of Executive suites, general offices, national call centres, conference hall and staff facilities.

  • Managed and led a team of 60+ staff and various consultants for the property development and management of all corporate facilities as the head of department and corporate architect

  • Coordinated and managed the design and construction of the Maxis Reception Centre at the Maxis Tower at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre
  • Secured premises, and completed the renovation works, for 11 Maxis Customer Service retail stores and outlets in Malaysia below the approved budget of AUD 2.3 Million
  • Led the implementation team to accelerate the construction of nine Electronic Transaction Outlets in Malaysia
  • Conceived and managed the construction of a new 1600 square meters national Customer Call Centre in Selangor, Malaysia.

  • Managed and led several teams of architects from concept through post-construction administration on several complex, mixed-used developments with retail elements within an urban environment throughout my 6 year tenure with GDP Architects
  • As the Senior Architect, the role included being the liaison with the client, consultants (domestic and international), designer of various building components, contract administration, building code coordinator, interior architect and interim site architect

  • The Alamanda Retail Centre
  • Project and lead architect of a team of 18 architects and technicians for the design, project and construction management (in collaboration with Bovis Lend Lease of Australia), of an AUD 100 Million, 240000 sqm retail and entertainment centre complete with anchor tenant stores, specialty retail shops, cinemas and two outdoor water parks.

  • As the Interior Architect, Documentation and Project Manager for an award-winning interior design practice, the roles included leading the design and documentation teams towards the completion of various projects within the firm's portfolio
  • Responsibilities included construction administration, interior design and preparation of specifications for project variations, and project management
  • PROJECTS:
  • Jupiter Securities Ltd – a 3 level interior design and fitout for Jupiter Securities, a share trading company, which consist of an open plan share trading floor and 2 levels of open office spaces
  • National Party Headquarters for Gerakan - for a political organisation in Malaysia, included the design and fit out for a 800-seat banquet hall, open offices, conference rooms and the executive offices.

  • Responsibilities included being a code coordinator, a position that required constant interaction and coordination with the local building code officials and various county and state Fire Departments
  • Evaluated project requirements to identify and mitigate risks.
  • PROJECTS:
  • Theatre: Documented and facilitated the building approvals for the renovation of a 26,000 sqm Kabuki 8 Theatre Complex in Japantown, San Francisco
  • City Hall with Historical Preservation: Construction documentation and site administration of a US$ 87 Million seismic retrofit and internal renovation of the Oakland City Hall, a historical city landmark damaged during the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989
  • Education Facilities: The design and documentation of the Walter A Haas School of Business at the University of Berkeley, California for new administrative, faculty office and lecture halls
  • Airport Terminal: Designed and developed the winning proposal for a new Oakland Airport Terminal expansion for the Metropolitan Oakland International Airport Authority, which included additional runways, connector motorways and control tower
  • Rail Station: Participated in the technical and construction documentation of the Amtrak Rail Station for the Port of Oakland which included site landscaping, passenger transfer hub and a two level connector bridge
  • Hotel: Interior design and documentation for the 150-room Holiday Inn at the Civic Centre.
