Temporary Power Infrastructure

Supervised installation, operation, and decommissioning of temporary power infrastructure for large-scale events and remote projects on a FIFO roster. Responsible for leading electrical crews and ensuring safe, reliable power delivery in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

• Supervised team of electricians and TA’s for setup of temporary LV power systems including generators, load banks, distribution boards, feeder pillars, and heavy temporary cabling

• Planned and executed power distribution layouts from single-line diagrams and site plans for stages, compounds, amenities, and production areas

• Managed generator sizing, load balancing, and paralleling operations to ensure uninterrupted power

• Led pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, JSA/SWMS, and enforced LOTO, WHS, and AS/NZS 3000 / AS/NZS 3012 compliance

• Performed fault-finding, testing, and commissioning of temporary installations including earth testing and RCD testing

• Liaised with project managers, event organisers, and other trades to coordinate power requirements and program changes

• Managed plant, equipment, and materials logistics for remote mobilization/demobilization
