  • In my final semester of law school I completed my PLT practical hours at SCB Legal a local boutique in Penrith focusing on a range of practice areas including but not limited to criminal, family, conveyancing and personal injury law. I assisted in preparing affidavits, administrative tasks, drafting chronologies and reviewing evidence with the supervision of a Solicitor.

  • I undertook clinical legal placement under the direct supervision of a Solicitor and my role included the following duties;
  • Interviewing clients for a range of offences, including but not limited to: traffic offences, larceny, police pursuit, tenancy, academic misconduct and neighbourhood disputes;
  • Drafting client instructions;
  • Drafting client advices;
  • Conducting research and writing file notes to support advices; and
  • Providing legal support to members of the community that were financially unable to access legal services
  • In addition, to working at the Community Legal Clinic I also worked with Parramatta Police Prosecutors in preparation for local court hearings for a period of two days.

  • At the conclusion of both my Bachelors degree and my Graduate Diploma I sought to gain more experience in criminal law by volunteering as a paralegal at Nicopoulos Sabbagh lawyers. Nicopoulos Sabbagh lawyer is a small family owned firm located in Bankstown mainly focusing on criminal law and traffic offences. My duties as their paralegal consisted of me drafting chronologies, appealing traffic offences in the local, drafting character references for criminal and traffic offences, liaising with clients and preparing court submissions.
