In this position as a local area coordinator, I currently facilitate supports pertaining to the National Disability Insurance Scheme

  • This is a diverse role and from the beginning of my employment in 2017, it has been a role that is fast paced and everchanging.

Duties include:

· Maintaining confidentiality - at all times and to the highest standard.

· High level of Data collection and entry under multiple servers

· Self-managed workload with strict KPI’s, both internal and external.

· High level Time management skills

· Adhering to Government legislation (in a fast passed and ever-changing scheme)

· Supporting NDIS participants to navigate the NDIS funding pathways.

· Seeking alternate funding supports where NDIS was not best suited/ most appropriate (this included linkages to healthcare services as well as alternate government and non-government funded supports)

· Participating in Community engagement projects (and supporting collaborations)

· Supporting in staff training

· Work as part of a team to deliver Scheme supports.

· Communications between stakeholders including internal and external parties – NDIS participants, families, support staff etc.

· Multiple administrative tasks including scheduling, email and letter correspondence.

  • In this position I was in a finance support role completing invoice processing through NDIS platform – PRODA, Duties included – communicating with services and clients regarding invoices, ABN lookup and data integrity checks, invoice processing through Careview database to collate to PRODA.
