  • Building a new brand is extremely challenging, at the point of exiting from the business (due to marital breakdown) it was turning over close to $10m per year.

  • Breakfast Point Supa IGA was brand new Supa IGA in a greenfield development in Breakfast Point in Sydney's Inner West. The site was the first new Supa IGA to be built in Sydney for many years.
  • It was my first foray into retail and supermarkets, and had some innovative design and energy efficient fit out.
  • The project was managed from lease negotiation, capital raising, construction management, through to implementation of a best practice large scale Supa IGA supermarket. In six years revenue grew to over $10 mio per year, with over 60 staff, and was sold at top multiples in 2011, allowing the move to QLD to develop the Greener Grocer site at the Isle of Capri.
