• - Initial and ongoing assessment of the patient.
• - Monitor patient vital signs and identify clinical deterioration.
• - Competent in infusion of blood products and electrolytes
• - Monitor and manage post-stem cell transplantation.
• - Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• - Management of central venous line/catheter to ensure patency.
• - Early identification of sepsis.
• - Good understanding of palliative/comfort care at the end-of-life stages
• - Ongoing pain assessment and management of patients to achieve better outcomes
• - Participate in patient education about the importance of medication adherence.
• - Discharge planning with the Allied Health team.

• - Post-op monitoring of the patient’s to ensure haemodynamic stability before transfer to the ward
• - Pain management (the use of pharmacological agent to control pain such as use of patient control analgesia)
