My objective is to find causal/part-time employment, whilst still studying at university, I am currently in my second year of an Exercise and Sports Science Degree and Business (Sport Management) at Deakin University. However, I also wish to develop many new skills, broaden my horizons and have a building block for future careers, whilst also making some money to support my education. I am a motivated individual with experience in customer service and sales. Skilled in building customer relationships and understanding customer needs.   • Within 10 months of working at this job I was promoted to a team leader and was given the task of supervising shifts over the busy summer holiday period.

Volunteer Experience

  • Clyde Cameron Reserve: I volunteered my time to plant trees and shrubs and restore the natural environment at Clyde Cameron Reserve, Wodonga.
  • Carevan Foundation: I volunteered my time to cook meals for the Carevan Foundation, through The Rite Journey program. The Foundation provides free meals to people who are homeless or living in poverty in the community.
  • Wodonga Raiders Football Club: I have assisted the club and helped out in a numerous amount of working bees, sausage sizzles, voluntary events and undertaking scoring and canteen duties.
  • Feltimber Community Centre: At the Centre I helped elderly people with their technological devices and navigating the internet, we also knitted together whilst sharing a cup of tea, providing them with someone to have a chat and catchup with.
  • Melrose Primary School: During 2019 I volunteered in a 1/2 Classroom at a local Primary School assisting the teacher with running lessons and forming a bond with the students.
  • Condobolin Solidarity Trip: In 2019 I went on a week-long trip to a small town called Condobolin in country NSW. During the week we were challenged to live off the bare minimum often just eating rice and bread. Throughout the week I volunteered at the local Primary School working with disadvantaged students and building new equipment for the students to use. I also worked and stayed on a drought-stricken farm 40 minutes outside of Condobolin where I did farm and housework to ease the burden of struggling farmers.
  • Upper Murray Family Care Interchange Program: In 2019 during the school holidays, I volunteered at a local program called interchange, the program provides a place for young disabled students over the holidays and after school. Although difficult at time I learnt many valuable skills and got great fulfilment out of it.

Placement

MyFitspace, 2023, In 2023 I completed 80 Hours of placement at Myfitspace in Geelong, during this placement I was responsible for exercise delivery and prescription for a range of different clients. The clients varied from NDIS clients, which required modification and adjustments of exercises to young athletes looking to improve their sporting performances where the programs designs were made to be more sport specific. During sessions I provided cues and feedback to clients to help them better there peformace.
