Site Operations Manager – Media Operations

  • Responsible for managing multiple teams of Operators within the IBM Server Operations environment (Including Shift work 24hr x 7days x 365 days per annum)
  • Acts as the Supplier site representative Service Delivery Manager by overseeing, protecting and maintaining the operational integrity and SLA’s for all Server Operations delivery requirements
  • Acting as the first level Supplier Management escalation support
  • Managing relationships with IBM Server Operations, Storage Management and other approved Teams and Suppliers working within the Server Systems Operations Environment
  • Planning scheduling, reporting and delegating resources and workload
  • Developing documentation, maintaining and adhering to working procedures and standards, thereby maintaining the Quality Management System processes
  • Responsible for managing Vendor staff participation and coordination of Media and Systems activity in support of all scheduled and Ad Hoc Disaster Recovery events
  • Responsible for managing all in scope Data Centre day-to-day activities
  • Responsible for the induction and compliance of all Vendor Staff with Site Security, Conduct, Confidentiality and OH&S guidelines
  • Create/update problem dockets/SRMS
  • In instances where the supplier is the cause of issue

  • Performing, Portable Storage Media(PSM) reviews to ensure compliance against contracts – In accordance with; IBM Security Control Documents(ISeC, GSD331/2, eBHS & ITCSI04
  • Performing contracted inventory reconciliations for all IBM GTS, Server Systems Operations client’s, based off Calendar Trigger’s from IT Security
  • Produce - Reconciliation, Inventory, Allocations & Discrepancy Reports, after performing Media Audits
  • These reports are then forwarded to IT Security to close off triggers, and kept as Audit Artefact; after obtaining Custodial Sign-Off

  • To conduct an inventory capture service line for IBM GTS, in order to produce a hardware baseline, which are in scope for Myer
  • This was achieved by way of physical audit, capturing data on a hand held PDA/Scanner
  • To attend all Myer site’s (Department Stores, Offices & Distribution Centres), throughout Australia, that were available during the timeframe given to complete audit
  • Understanding of infrastructure and set-up of IT devices in store’s & office’s (Networking format)
  • Determining in scope Assets
  • Staff Supervision; allocating duties to Disposal Staff to maximize efficiency, making sure that all devices in scope are tagged/recorded & correct data captured
  • Transfer of data from PDA/Scanner’s to a PC/Laptop to produce a spread-sheet, editing data, making sure all fields entered are accurate, checking for errors/discrepancies
  • Sending completed Correlated Data, along with a Site Specific Report - to IBM GS Asset Management Transition Project Manager
  • After the initial Audits performed for Myer – I was specifically requested, to perform all major Audits, as Team Leader, throughout Victoria, SA & Tasmania
  • Audits performed include – Myer, BHP Billiton, AGL, TRU Energy, APIA, AAMI, Energy Australia, Suncorp, Fiserv & Hewlett Packard (Swiss Banking)
  • Except for Swiss Banking - Audits were conducted on behalf of, Infrastructure Lifecycle Management, Asset Management Transition Division, IBM GTS
