- Lead the daily operations of the school age care service in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of educators and assistants
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and fun team culture that aligns with the Fun Squad values
- Ensure high-quality care and educational programs that meet the needs of children aged 5–12
- Manage staffing rosters, shift allocations, and leave requests
- Oversee the planning and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate programs and activities
- Ensure curriculum aligns with the My Time, Our Place Framework for School Age Care
- Support staff in delivering inclusive programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards (including NQS and EYLF)
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and staff at all times
- Manage incident reporting, risk assessments, and emergency procedures
- Conduct regular audits to ensure service meets quality and safety standards
- Build strong relationships with children, families, school staff, and the wider community
- Communicate effectively with families regarding their child’s development and program updates
- Handle parent feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Oversee enrolment and attendance processes
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance checks
- Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required
- Monitor service budget, expenses, and resources
- Ensure all team members meet training and qualification requirements
- Provide ongoing coaching, professional development, and performance feedback
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and best practices in school age care
