SAP b1
I am a strong manager and analytical problem-solver with a knack for leading and motivating, as well as carrying out company plans and changes with proficiency. I love nothing more than a good talk about systems analysis and improvements to get productivity. I have excellent independent decision-making skills and sound judgment and a admiration for family business.
When I took on this role the ERP ( SAP b1) and also the Kanban ordering process had been neglected. I stabilized the out of stock system and bought trust back in to the Purchasing department and then started on a plan to give Projects and Service teams the ability to order in for there needs as part of the Purchasing Process.
My team delivered around $20m in projects for custom manufacture every year. Our inventory holdings were usually between 1.5-2Million.
We made improvements to Setting up Counting items for Inventory on Weekly, Monthly, 3 Monthly and also the annual stock take for June 30.
We had a policy to count something every day.
We had a small warehouse and a very busy one we cleaned up a lot and bought new systems in and racking to improve our visibility and to also put stock away more efficiently.
Worked in the Same Role as Remax as Carona Group company Was Merged.
During this time some of the Product lines were sold to a new company who worked in the same space as Remax /Carona I spent much time helping the new company who was inhouse separate all our Kanban system help train there purchasing team and create new spaces and areas in the warehouse to divide our inventory up to different product categories.
I helped with supplier relationships and our warehouse team and there's had to get along very well as we were in the same space.
I took this role on Temporarily as AP/AR Accounts assistant to Finance Manager.
As well as usual tasks involved in this department I forensically
went through all the bank transactions and subscriptions and reoccurring transactions and made sure of value and cancelled ones not needed.
During this time I was called in to the business as a work from home Mother as we had a Cash Flow Crisis
So I set about evaluation all employee Job Roles and asking them to fill in time tracking and tasks they were performing daily and asking staff if they knew what was expected of them daily?
As a small Management team of 3 we changed some structures in the company to bring about better value and bring sales numbers up to sustainable levels.
Started on a sustained effort to change culture of business's and drive a systems and procedure based company.
Started a process of cutting unnecessary spending -(no not the biscuits and milk!) and reassessing value of everyday suppliers.
This was not easy and we lost around 10 employees out of 30 in the first 3-12 months. We knew it was a long term project.
This process along with Bringing in HR System (Bamboo HR) to streamline Hiring and also giving best systems for employees and making constant IT improvements in SAP b1 drove our process and team to the highest standards and all staff were working towards Extreme Ownership of Roles.
Management Team became not afraid of loosing valuable information from long term staff as documentation of roles was in place with knowledge being available to everyone.
This role eventually was full time and I managed to get it down to 3 days per week and was in charge on all new employees onboarding, off boarding assets management and legal compliance for staff.
At the end of this role we reduced our staff down to 25 from 35 and also stopped replying on subcontractors.
You may be reading this wondering why I only reentered the work force in 2019. I worked for 2 years in Logistics and Supply in a family business before I had my first child. I was a stay at home mother from 2001-2019 and helped my husband set up the business of Carona Group Pty Ltd which we owned until June 2023 when we merged it with Remax Doors.
