Operated business offering contract hay baling using John Deere and New Holland equipment; maintained and repaired tractors, balers, spray rigs, rakes, and mowers to ensure optimal performance. Also included labour hire operating many different types of machinery with different styles of GPS guidance.

In this role I carry out breakdown repairs and routine maintenance on all different types of mining equipment including trucks, dozers, graders, loaders and excavators. I also work along side supervisors to maintain and provide safety procedures to ensure safe and smooth operations.

Worked as a breakdown fitter on heavy mining equipment, including CAT equipment, excavators, haul trucks, and occasionally on pumps and lighting plants.

Executed preventative and breakdown repairs on mobile plant, adhered to safety procedures, and collaborated with supervisors to establish procedures for abnormal jobs.

I carried out maintenance and repairs in both agricultural and mining equipment. Predominately working onsite at Glencore Ulan surface Operations where I worked my way up to becoming a leading Hand. This job also included many different types of fabrication and welding repairs.

At this cattle station I was the Mechanical Fitter and was in charge of repairs and maintenance of road trains, light vehicles, graders, dozers, small motors and diesel generators. Over my time here I developed machinery maintenance schedules for all machinery across 5 different properties. In this case, I recorded and informed station managers of maintenance issues and breakdowns to ensure smooth operations of plant.

In this role I carried out maintenance and repairs on all type of farm machinery, mainly New Holland machinery . I first carried out my boilermaker trade then went on to complete my Fitter machinist trade. This role taught me the fundamentals of my trades and helped me gain experience in problem solving and diagnostics which has followed through in my entire career to this day. This role held a strong focus on hay machinery including all types of balers, rakes and mowers.
