As Chief Engineer, I execute maintenance duties while also overseeing and guiding a team of 9 staff. In the absence of the East Coast Maintenance Manager, I assume their responsibilities, conducting meetings with both customers and team members, and actively participating in the hiring process. I organize team events and coordinate educational initiatives for employees. Reporting safety concerns as necessary, I also ensure effective communication with higher management, keeping them informed about operations on the hangar floor.

In my role, I service, maintain, upgrade, and repair various corporate aircraft, assuming the responsibilities of the Chief Engineer in their absence. Operating within a Textron aircraft service center, I ensure all work adheres to strict quality, safety and compliance standards while maintaining meticulous records. Continuously staying abreast of industry trends and technology, I foster strong relationships with customers and colleagues and consistently meet demanding deadlines. Additionally, I prioritize maintaining a safe and tidy work environment. I continue to stay abreast of current industry trends and attend industry events as required.

In my role, I service, maintain, upgrade, and repair a diverse range of fixed-wing and rotary aircraft, ensuring compliance with CASA Part 145 Regulations and strict quality standards. I employ exceptional troubleshooting skills to address complex technical issues and supervise a team of up to 4 staff, providing training and coaching as needed. Building strong client relationships, I respond promptly to after-hours emergencies and travel extensively throughout Victoria and interstate to meet customer requirement. I stay updated through ongoing professional development training and while always maintaining safe and correct procedure.

During my time with JHAS, I serviced, maintained, and repaired commercial narrow body aircraft for Virgin, Tiger, and Jetstar, adhering strictly to CASA Part 145 Regulations. With my troubleshooting skills, I efficiently resolved complex technical issues. I actively contributed to team cohesion, maintained accurate records, and consistently met challenging deadlines. Additionally, I prioritised adherence to Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Having successfully completed an Avionics Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship, I've honed exceptional technical skills and applied them to a diverse range of fixed-wing aircraft. During my time with GAM I've made positive contributions to my team, fostering a collaborative environment. I've also taken on the responsibility of training and coaching new staff, ensuring that our work consistently meets rigorous quality standards and adheres closely to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures.
