With almost 30 years of experience in the oil and gas exploration and development industry, my expertise lies in logistics as a Supply Base Manager/Supervisor and throughout my career, I have gained extensive knowledge in areas such as occupational health and safety regulations, effective people management, and meeting company targets. My experience has provided a comprehensive understanding of drilling and completions materials, along with an appreciation for industry challenges.

Administration and Finance

• End of month reporting to General Manager
• Assisting in contracts that relate to logistics operations
• Review and update procedures and documents to ensure procedures are current and relevant
• Invoicing and issuing receipt of goods, Issuing of purchase orders for service and materials
• Verifying and approving of invoices
• Ensuring costs are kept within approved budgets
• Regularly monitoring and reporting of progress of materials and logistics activities
• Maintaining equipment inventory and tracking equipment movements and stock control

QA/QC

• Responsible for overall performance of all supply base operations
• Manage daily activities to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with procedures and standards
• Report any non-conformance of operations
• Continuously improve the quality of services by seeking opportunities to add value added and reduce cost
• Working knowledge of company policies, procedures and relevant legislation impacting on the role and the business
• Ensuring all team members are meeting company expectations
• Coordination of storage and implement a preventative maintenance program
• Escalating any critical issues and risks to Management

Transport Control

• Coordinating transport requirements for personnel and materials in the most efficient use of transport via land, sea and air
• Implement logistics guidelines and procedures be that via land, sea and air
• Control movement and booking of personnel to and from offshore installations
• Control of helicopter movements to & from installation
• Control movements of installation support vessels to meet operation requirements
• Coordinating dispatch of drilling equipment and materials
• Arrange tender and assessment of contracts, road transport, marine shipping
• Expediting materials through domestic and international means of transport
• Management of stevedoring and marine supply vessel
• Handling of dangerous/hazardous goods in compliance with company and government regulations

Planning and Scheduling

• Coordinate procurement of equipment, materials and services in a timely manner to meet program requirements
• Participate in the selection and required manpower and ensure personnel have the required skills and qualifications
• Liaison between the offshore operation and the onshore establishment to ensure operational objectives are met satisfactorily
• Compiling of equipment checklist with Drilling Engineers., Ensuring vessel specifications meet requirements to support the operations
• Liaise closely with Well Site Engineers / Operations Superintendent with all logistics issues
• Complete a logistics plan and distribute to applicable parties for forecast on operations and logistics overview
• Develop and implement logistics guidelines and procedures, Ensure sufficient resources and equipment to meet targets

Health Safety and Environment

• Produce and implement HSE management plans and review and maintain HSE management plan based on the changes of operations
• Provide safe work instruction, site supervision, administer agreed policies
• Ensuring the competence and performance of all assigned materials and logistics personnel within their role
• Measure and capture and report HSE statistics, provide advice for improvement opportunities
• Ensure contractors and their equipment comply with company Policy.
• Assessment and writing of Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Operating Procedures
• Participate in Emergency Evacuations and Emergency Evacuation Drills
• Organize daily safety toolbox meetings
• Report HSE incidents and lead risk incident investigations and report to management
