Aircraft Design and Optimisation Tool (ADOT)
For the ADOT project, I was member on the aircraft design team. The tool that was in development was to be used to help students in designing an aircraft to fit the performance criteria outlined by a client or mission requirements. For the code, I worked on producing baseline values from a set of statistics that were chosen from a filter function based on the requirements of the aircraft.
Design, Build and Fly (DBF) challenge
For the DBF challenge, I was involved in the preliminary design of the landing gear and wings. I have investigated the different types of balsa wood that could be used to build the airframe of the aircraft. I also participated in the construction of the aircraft through a collaborative and iterative redesign and manufacturing process.
Hexapod Lunar VR Motion Platform
For this project, I have read multiple journal articles that look into Motion Cueing Algorithms to mitigate motion sickness. I have also developed a fundamental understanding in using LabVIEW which is utilised to control the motion for the hexapod. My upcoming work on this project will be focused towards conceptual design and prototyping of safety equipment.
