• Trained other nurses on patient care and daily tasks, supporting growth and professional development.

• Similar nursing roles as above focusing on the provision of emergency assessment and acute care in the community instead. Management of individual and public safety were paramount in this role, with timely interventions and documentation as required.
• Performed triage assessments of walk-in patients in a clinic setting.
• The second role concentrated on teaching clients living skills in a supported residential environment. This required skills of breaking down tasks, supporting organization and completion of skill provision , with advocacy and conflict resolution as required.
• Provision of allied health treatments with medical interventions were paramount in this role to maximize client understanding and participation .

• This role was very similar to the Australian posts however the legal frameworks, and resources were different . The limitations caused by under funding, increased social stigma and poverty were much greater than in Australia. This required increased use problem solving, teaching and advocacy skills .Caseloads were also higher with reduced access to allied health professional and medical staff, as well as community housing, welfare and family support.

• This second focused on the management and delivery of acute mental health care for clients in hospital . Communication , time engagement and efficiency were paramount, with excellent engagement and observation skills being necessary.

• This second role was a training year focusing on general biological nursing throughout varied wards. Time management, written and verbal communications skills were learnt and improved upon, team working and cooperation skills were advanced. Theories and practicalities of delivery of general nursing care were learnt and embedded.
