I have 28 years of Mechanical Mining Maintenance experience covering a very broad range of responsibilities. Starting as a Boilkermaking Apprentice in 1996 moving into Boilermaking trade in 2000 and then though the journey of Tradesman to Conveyor Supervisor in the present day.
In 2014 I was handed the responsibility of all conveyor maintenance at Weipa Operations for RioTinto Operations and have since transferred to Gove Operations RioTinto.
Combined the 2 sites consist 74 conveyor belts ranging in length from 10m up to 13km.
Multiple overland conveyor change outs (3x overland conveyors ranging in length from 10km to 13km)
