Carpentry/Skilled labour for a Building service company that specialised and based its main focus in public schools. The main duties included bathroom renovations and call out work which included window repair and installation, roof repairs, landscaping, door repairs, and rendering and concrete repairs.

I worked on the Sydney railway system doing formwork and and concrete pours at various Sydney railway sites. We had shut downs three times per month on the weekends where our work included platform repair and repaving, fencing, spottting machinery, and driving a tipper vehicle which I used to bring tools and materials to site.

I worked in the mines 2 weeks on 1 week off as a handyman/labourer. I was supplied with a ute and radio and I was responsible for driving around camp and the minesite itself bringing materials and tools to different areas of the mine, coordinating with the supervisor/general manager, site clean up, maintenance of the camp which had a kitchen, gym, office, ambulance/nursing unit and the individual dongas.

I did my carpentry apprenticeship for a residential luxury home building company based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. With this apprenticeship I:

• Gained valuable education in residential and commercial building codes.
• Kept job site cleaned up properly and all debris disposed of in respective containers.
• Observed all OSHA and corporate safety regulations and procedures.
• Planned and executed work with proper tools and materials to maximize productivity.
• Completed installations of building structures, trim, flooring, and cabinetry.
• Monitored tool and equipment condition and arranged repairs.
• Assisted with movement of materials and equipment to job sites.
• Checked measurements and completed accurate cuts to prevent materials waste and maintain cost controls.
• Installed and repaired woodwork, millwork, and cabinetry under supervision of master carpenter.
• Followed established job site safety regulations and maintained safe and clean work area.
• Built flooring, window frames and countertops according to custom carpentry project specifications.
• Worked with master carpenters to install decks for both residential and commercial customers.
• Interpreted blueprints and instructions to meet exact construction specifications.
• Followed protocols and stayed organized to provide personal and teammate safety.
