Carpentry/Skilled labour for a Building service company that specialised and based its main focus in public schools. The main duties included bathroom renovations and call out work which included window repair and installation, roof repairs, landscaping, door repairs, and rendering and concrete repairs.
I worked on the Sydney railway system doing formwork and and concrete pours at various Sydney railway sites. We had shut downs three times per month on the weekends where our work included platform repair and repaving, fencing, spottting machinery, and driving a tipper vehicle which I used to bring tools and materials to site.
I worked in the mines 2 weeks on 1 week off as a handyman/labourer. I was supplied with a ute and radio and I was responsible for driving around camp and the minesite itself bringing materials and tools to different areas of the mine, coordinating with the supervisor/general manager, site clean up, maintenance of the camp which had a kitchen, gym, office, ambulance/nursing unit and the individual dongas.
