My main job is to provide a diagnostic pathology service to the doctors and people of NSW. Follow the RITE and CORE values.
I have extensive experience in RNA/DNA extractions (both manual and automatic), such as Roche High Pure Column extraction, Roche MP96, Qiagen EZ1, and Biomerieux EasyMag.
I am competent in conventional and real-time PCR setup, making Mastermix, DNA/RNA purification, Sanger sequencing, next-generation sequencing, and PoCT.
I have the experience and knowledge in running quality control, quality assurance, and working in a NATA lab.
I am competent in using Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
I am competent in using Cerner LIMS, and Powerchart,
I have experience in using Q-pulse.
Competent in using various automatic PCR machines, such as the Roche Cobas 6800, Abbott M200, Panther Hologic, and BD Max.
Experience in troubleshooting when machines are down, and assisting in technical support.
Competent in using various PoCT machines, both PCR and antigen testing, such as Cepheid GeneXpert, Roche Liat, Sofia antigen test, etc.
Experience in training staff in operating machines, and performing PCR and NGS testing.
Other non-clinical experiences I have include submitting Respiratory Statistics to the Ministry of Health and the National Influenza Centre.

Conduct monthly and annual stocktakes to ensure that materials are available when needed.
Competent in using procurement for ordering and receiving of goods.

As a pathology collector, my duties include venepuncture and pathology collection, such as collecting wound swabs, performing urea breath tests, glucose tolerance tests (1 and 2 hours GTT), and ECG.
Explain and instruct patients on sample collection at home for example 24-hour urine collection, MSU, semen, stool, and sputum collection.
Print and deliver reports, and collect samples from doctors' surgeries, and hospitals.
I have worked in multi-collections and hospital settings, and I have also done home visits.
