Dear CERN Selection Committee,
My name is Uladzislau, and I am a third-year Electronics Engineering student at the University of Agder (UiA) in Norway, currently spending a semester abroad in Australia. I am writing to express my strong interest in joining CERN and writing a Bachelor Thesis.
In April 2025, I had the opportunity to visit CERN as part of a university-organized trip. The experience left a lasting impression on me — the scale of the infrastructure, the dedication of the people, and the cutting-edge research were truly inspiring. Listening to presentations from fellow Norwegian students currently working at CERN further deepened my motivation to gain hands-on experience at your institution.
Throughout my academic journey, I have worked extensively with embedded systems, PCB design, and measurement systems. Now I also exploring quantum physics alongside my core engineering studies, which has only increasing my curiosity for the fundamental science that drives CERN’s mission.
Having studied in Belarus, the Czech Republic, Norway, and now Australia, I have developed strong cross-cultural communication skills and adaptability. I thrive in international environments and am eager to contribute to and learn from the diverse teams at CERN.
Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Uladzislau Manulik
