I have extensive experience in the electrical trade having been a licenced electrician for some 30 years. I have the ability to work well by myself and as part of a team, having trained several apprentices in my time in the trade. During my policing career I have always maintained my electrical licence, had consented secondary employment and regularly conducted electrical work of a minor scale in order to keep up with changes in the industry. I understand the dangers surrounding electricity and have a good understanding of minimising the risk associated with the industry, especially when in an environment where untrained staff are present.
