• Field maintenance (draglines) Assist trades personnel to complete general maintenance on service days such as rope change outs, brake adjustment and brake shoe change outs, fan and electric motor change outs and alignments, seal replacements and general servicing.
• Other tasks (non service days) included assisting with gearbox rebuilds in situ, major bearing replacements eg.
• Swing shafts, sheave assembly replacements etc.
• And restocking tooling containers.
• Grinding and setting up welding and fabrication equipment and performing basic boilermaking duties.
• CHPP Maintenance and shutdown work on coal preparation plants at various mine sites, tasks include change out and alignment of components such as electric motors, water pumps, gearboxes, agitators etc.
• Tasks also include assisting with rebuilds of components, including gearboxes and water pumps etc.
• Administrative work- timesheets, matching corresponding job numbers to jobs etc.
