Continual clinical care and monitoring of critically ill patients across Robina and Gold Coast University Intensive Care Units.

Being apart of multidisciplinary teams participating in decision making and implementing decisions for daily care of critical patients.

Maintaining flexibility to work in different situations, eg: change in patient allocation according to the units needs, change in unit allocation.

• Continued Duties caring for Critical care patients in a cardiothoracic and general post op Intensive care setting.
• Being apart of the units multidisciplinary team in daily decision making for the patient.
• Education and development for nursing students rotating through intensive care
• Continual personal development and education in Cardiothoracic surgery, cardiac investigation procedures and recovery.
• Assistance in different wards when needed. Eg. Emergency, cardiac care, HDU, and maternity special care unit.

• Duties include: Caring for intubated and ventilated patients who require inotropic support, CVVHDF, PICO monitoring, SWANZ GANZ monitoring
• Education of new nursing and medical staff with ventilated patients.

• Duties include: Team Leader, overseeing admission and discharges to ICU
• Allocation of staff members to patients
• Consultation with the allied health team and coordination of care for patients in the unit
• Team member in the hospital rapid response team
• Responsibilities for fulfilling staff rostering when sick calls and annual leave are made
• Education of new staff members both nursing and medical regarding care of ventilated patients, deteriorating patients, cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Currently hold my Advance Life Saving certificate.

• Duties include: Caring for intubated and ventilated patients who require inotropic support, CVVHDF, PICO monitoring, SWANZ GANZ monitoring
• Education of new nursing and medical staff with ventilated patients.

• Duties include: Assessment of medical cover for travellers both national and international, with approval or denial for cover
• Correspondence and liaison with travel agents, GP's and Medical specialist regarding patients medical conditions.
