1. National Priority Area (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse - CALD) Lead for the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS). In collaboration with State and Territory organisations, assessing physical and emotional health needs of CALD communities (through community consultations and focus groups) and working on facilitating support and developing culturally tailored resources, and translating these to 26 languages) to address the disparity between the support, services and resources available to CALD communities and those available to their English-speaking counterparts.
2. CALD Lead - Diabetes educator on the Education and Prevention/NDSS team (Diabetes NSW & ACT), Organising and coordinating seminars and webinars for CALD communities as well as Feltman training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Professionals/Workers.
As a Senior Diabetes Coordinator, I set up a program identifying people with diabetes and suboptimal management to enroll in a health coaching program.
