• Insight Hub: A Gen AI-based web application that revolutionized how our marketing and strategy teams analyze energy reports. By enabling the upload and AI-driven summarization of various document types, and transitioning from OpenAI to Azure Open AI, we enhanced operational efficiency and productivity significantly. The platform, integrated with LangChain and PostgreSQL, has become a cornerstone for internal AI innovation, leading to broader applications for information retrieval and paving the way for future advancements with agent-based architecture and advanced AI models for visual data analysis. My role in this project highlights my leadership in leveraging AI to drive strategic business outcomes.
• Improving Employee Onboarding experience: At APA Group, the employee onboarding experience is very rough for both hiring manager as well as a new joined. As part of this mission, we worked on automation of few mundane tasks like automating creation of multiple service desk tickets, creating a welcome page for the employee etc using different frameworks and tools like Microsoft Power Automate, Workato platform, Web application etc.
• Dine & Discover, Parents NSW and BASC Voucher: The mentioned vouchers were developed for the community/residents of NSW where 5 vouchers of $50 each were allocated to eligible residents on applying. This was developed to boost the economy after the covid and is funded by the government. They are web applications developed in SpringBoot with Kotlin, React JS, PostreSQL and was deployed using Gitlab CI/CD pipelines. on Cloud Foundary app instances and the API's are proxied using Google Apigee. The program consist of consumer registration, business registration and voucher redemption process and as part of the Voucher system, the data for the consumer vouchers is stored within vouchers database. It is a highly scalable system and there were roughly 1.6M users who used the vouchers and the system sustained all the load and the data was also stored very securely. Different aspects apart from implementing the solution where I was responsible was storing the consumer data in a secure manner (i.e redacting and reducing the data for BI team and storing full data in protected encrypted manner), integration with other systems (using AWS SQS/SNS), building CI/CD pipelines, making API's robust for other vendors and implementing API security and rate limiting using Google Apigee.
• MEKSI (Medical Examination Knowledge Simulator Engine): MEKSI is an education system which was built using Java, SpringBoot, React JS, Redux framework with MySQL DB as a tool for medical professionals to take an assessment on a given medical case. It is built using Microservices framework and has 3 main services which are all built using above technology stack. The solution also used IBM Watson Assistant as a ChatBot which played the role of a virtual patient. It is hosted on AWS and the infrastructure has been automated through AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) using full AWS CI/CD build services like CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline and I was responsible for building the backend microservices, IBM Watson Assistant chabot, integrate with the web application, create certain components of UI, and played the role of DevOps to automate the build and deployment on various environments.
• Smart Quote: Smart Quote is a web application developed using Java, SpringBoot, Angular JS with PostgressSQL DB and hosted on Microsoft Azure for the customer to allow their sales team to quickly create quotes. The company has close to 10,000 products and their team sell products ranging from hand gloves to an entire operation theatre setup to its customers. They get a lot of quotation daily and hence, a web application was built which allow their sales team to quickly browse through the products, get their list and contract pricing and submit the quote for approval. A workflow engine was built which as well takes the quote for approval to different level depending on quote's total deal value, any discount given and gross margin.
