Tunnel Structure Officer

- The team's objective is to participate in international competitions that aims to create innovative technological solutions for the tunnelling industry.
- Updating the design based on design requirements for the best efficiency and reduced carbon emissions.
- Utilising EpiC database to select the best material possible for each component of the tunnel lining that results in the least amount of carbon emissions and prolonged serviceability.
- Working with the automation team to calculate the necessary loads and stresses based of design requirements using SolidWorks and ANSYS.

- Worked with a team of 5 to develop an enhanced and optimised hotend in a client-engineer scenario
- Tasked to perform Thermal and Structural Analysis on the E3D v6 hotend using ANSYS, to test the likelihood of failure
- Tasked to perform physical benchmarking of the hotend to analyse the maximum flow rate of PLA
- From results obtained, each member produced a concept design to match client expectations, in order to find its reliability compared to the E3D v6 hotend
- Based on fluid flow analysis, mechanical testing and benchmarking the hotend produced is three times efficient compared to E3D hotend with 25% decrease in heat dissipation.
Consulting Engineer

- Collaborated with other interns to evaluate better methods of engaging young girls and corporate partners to expand the Robogals organisation on a larger scale
- Some of my ideas included collaborating with publishers to tell stories and incorporate art and visuals to engage students
- Incorporating the use of language learning tools as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) to expand on the company’s objective
- Ultimately the team presented a ppt, a 2 min video on the benefits of joining robogals as well as a case study to understand how art and AI can garner attention from other people.
