Project Description: The Naughtons Gap Road Slip Remediation Project involved stabilizing a landslip-affected roadway through a combination of geotechnical and civil engineering solutions. The scope of work included piling and soil nailing for slope stabilization, bulk earthworks for terrain reshaping, pavement reconstruction, and drainage works to improve water management and prevent future erosion. The project required close coordination with designers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely completion while maintaining strict safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversaw day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
• Monitored project costs, controlled expenses, and implemented cost-saving measures to maintain financial efficiency.
• Acted as the key point of contact for clients, designers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution
• Managed subcontractor agreements, progress claims, and variations while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Reviewed design plans, identified potential challenges, and coordinated with designers to implement practical solutions
• Safety in construction, reviewing SWMS, standard operating procedures.
• Conducted risk assessments, enforced WHS compliance, and promoted a strong safety culture on-site.

Project: Rockhampton to Yeppoon Road Upgrade

Project description: This road upgrade project entails the construction of 6km of new roads, which consists of both unbound pavements and lightly bound pavements. It also includes the construction of bulk earthworks, multiple RCBC and RCP culverts. This project aims to enhance connectivity, reduce flooding risks, and promote long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities:

● Supervision and management of construction crew to ensure appropriate construction against design is achieved.

● Preparing tender packages and contract documents.

● Quality Assurance and management of quality system using Civil Pro.

● Cost forecasting and Monitoring budget costs vs actual costs.

● Liaising with Project subcontractors and client.

● Safety in construction, reviewing SWMS, standard operating procedures.

● Overseeing construction work and concrete work operations.

● Management of onsite testing related to conformances.

● Programming and coordination of subcontractors.

● Review subcontractor claims and invoices.

Project: Gympie Drainage & Road Upgrade

Client: DTMR

Budget: $35M

Project Description: Upgrade of existing highway culvert structures using Jacking methods, tunnel boring and full culvert replacement using open trenching.

Upgrades include Earthworks, installation of unbound layers, concrete pour operations and inspections, installation of rock protection, bitumen sealing and road furniture.

Responsibilities:

● Procurement of materials and subcontractors.

● Preparing tender packages and contract documents.

● Quality Assurance and management of quality system using Civil Pro.

● Cost forecasting and Monitoring budget costs vs actual costs.

● Liaising with Project subcontractors and client.

● Safety in construction, reviewing SWMS, standard operating procedures.

● Overseeing construction work and concrete work operations.

● Logistics of pipe and fitting supply check against proposed drawings.

● Programming and coordination of subcontractors.

Client: Toowoomba Council

• Paired written content with relevant photographs or drawings to help increase readability and understanding.
