General Management
Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the provision of campus services for:
· Large-scale events held on university campuses to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
· Overseeing the operation of emergency procedures across all campuses, ensuring security staff respond to emergency situations as per the University Emergency Management Plan.
· Collaboration with the Executive Director, Campus Operations to implement budgets and related management plans to ensure security goals are met.
Service Delivery
Cultivated the protection of Western Sydney University assets, staff, students, and visitors to the University via the delivery of services through the campus security teams.
· Workplace hazard identification, containment, redressing and reporting. Small fire investigation, operation of building fire panels. Loss/theft investigations.
· Access control - Alarm management and CCTV surveillance.
· Parking and traffic management.
· Ensuring all staff are licensed following the Security Industry Act 1997.
Contractor Management
Cultivated commercial communications, and the management and maintenance of the relationship between the University and any external contracted suppliers. I conduct contractor analysis and assess effectiveness in the overall supplier management strategy, embracing effective management and operational relationships at all levels.
Investigations
Initiated investigations into the safety of staff, students, and visitors and into the loss, theft, or destruction of university assets. This includes the referral of investigations to misconduct panels, as well as State and Federal law enforcement authorities as well as other regulatory agencies.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate closely with local Police to review and compare reports and intelligence with Police Local Area Command Officers and Local Area Command statistical information.
Consult with key University clients on a regular basis to exchange information on the provision of security and related services and to discuss and resolve general issues, complaints, and concerns.
