Current ALWS role – 2020-2024
Manage the gathering of resources from the field to support communication and fundraising initiatives by:
o Building relationship and engaging with field resource staff / in country communication contractors
o Developing a training framework to equip international partners, ALWS staff and in-country contractors in resource gathering and facilitate training sessions
o Develop and maintain ALWS' Digital Asset Management system to safely store resources and informed consents and equip staff in using this. Work with partners in the use of this system.
o Developing relationship and connections with communicators from ACFID, LWF, CAN, CANDO and ACTAlliance, and other NGO’s.
Lead ALWS’ Safeguarding policy and implementation strategy and culture:
o Establish and lead the ALWS Safeguarding working group
o Equip working group to oversee program and HR elements of safeguarding
o Ensure that ALWS' Policies and practices are aligned with DFAT, ACFID and LWF requirements
o Oversee the reporting, recording, and reviewing of safeguarding incidents and ALWS' response.
o Lead ALWS' safeguarding engagement with ACT Alliance, CANDO and ACFID including Communities of Practice.
o Report Periodically on ALWS safeguarding practice to the ALWS Board, Leadership Team, and wider staff.
Development of the Annual Report
Work with the Community Engagement team to create, adapt, re-use and refresh material to develop ALWS learning resources that meet Australian curriculum and Christian Studies frameworks for Lutheran schools.
