General Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and care to individuals in need, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Develop and implement support plans tailored to client needs.
Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards in all interactions.

Document case notes, incidents, and progress reports accurately and timely.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, social workers, and law enforcement.

Adhere to organizational policies, legal requirements, and confidentiality guidelines.

Rehabilitation/Detox/Recovery Worker:

Support clients undergoing detox and rehabilitation for substance use.

Assist with relapse prevention strategies and coping mechanisms.

Facilitate group sessions and one-on-one support.

Monitor client progress and report concerns to clinical staff.

Encourage healthy routines and participation in recovery programs.

Secure Care Worker:

Provide care and supervision in secure care settings for at-risk individuals.

Implement behaviour management strategies in a trauma-informed approach.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

Engage with clients to support personal development and emotional well-being.

Respond to crises and de-escalate situations effectively.

Child Protection Transport & Access Supervision:

Transport children and young people safely to appointments, placements, and visits.

Supervise family visits in a safe and structured manner.

Provide observational reports on interactions and child well-being.

Ensure child safety and emotional support during transitions.

Liaise with case managers and report any concerns.

Housing & Homelessness Crisis Worker:

Assist clients in accessing temporary accommodation and support services

Educate clients on tenancy rights and responsibilities.

Support clients in overcoming barriers to stable housing.

Residential Youth Worker:

Provide care, guidance, and supervision for young people in residential settings.

Develop positive relationships to support emotional and social development.

Assist with life skills development, including education and employment support.

Manage crises and behavioural incidents using trauma-informed practices.

• Meeting the young persons daily care needs such as personal hygiene, health and well-being, medical, transportation, recreational and educational support needs.
• Contribute to and maintain a quality care environment for all children and young people that is safe, clean and personalised to those that live there.
• Document accurately events and developments related to the day-to-day provision of care on the child or young persons journey with us.
• Ensure children and young people’s NDIS plans are accessible for them while in our care
• Utilising trauma informed practices and supports in day-to-day care provision for children and young people.
• Providing positive behaviour support, therapeutic interventions and safety to children and young people who may experience events of escalation and crisis.
• Encouraging and facilitate opportunities for social engagement, recreation, and community involvement.
• Collaborating with the care team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
• Advocating for the rights and needs of the children and young people Support young people in developing essential life skills, including education, vocational training, and independent living skills.
• Promoting and support positive relationships and connection for children and young people with family, culture and community.
• Help children and young people reach developmental and life milestones towards a healthy, happy and thriving life.

• Provide key leadership and practice support that guides and develops the program through a range of innovative and creative plans and strategies
• Effectively supervise a team with mixed caseloads of clients requiring low to medium intensity support
• Work collaboratively with residents to create a meaningful life, assisting them to develop self-management skills across mental and physical wellbeing, personal safety, and crisis management and harm minimization
• Work with residents by linking and referring them into clinical services as well as social and recreational activities
• Utilize knowledge of harm reduction and brief intervention, trauma informed practice, conflict resolution, MARAM and Housing First principles to manage a case load of clients
• Responding to resident feedback and complaints in line with Wintringham policy and procedures

• Applied clinical and behavioral techniques to maintain safety on day-to-day activities
• Used a calm, positive and person-centered approach with all youth to achieve person-centered goals and improvement in the young person's living skills and quality of life
