  • A course in which enrolment is by selection, I was able to obtain 13-week placement at the Adelaide Legal Outreach Service on a one-day-a-week basis.
  • In this role I was required to participate in all aspects of the office including client interviewing, drafting letter of advices and correspondence, and managing assigned case files while under the supervision of a professional legal practitioner.
  • The course is also promotes experiences on placement, examining issues on lawyer/client relationships, legal ethics, professionals and professions, justice access and the role of our legal system in society.

  • I underwent a 4-week induction which required to complete a small course to obtain an AVERT Family Violence Certificate.
  • The role involves working on the legal advice line under the supervision of a senior solicitor to provide free legal advice to women of diverse backgrounds.
  • This includes women who may be experiencing domestic and family violence in which it is important to be empathetic and professional while navigating through client communication.
  • Advice would regard property settlement, intervention orders, separation, child custody and other family matters.
  • Required to managed and filling client intake forms, perform conflict checks using CLASS and handling sensitive client information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
