• Administer oral and injectable medication in a timely manner and monitor for any adverse reaction which may require medical intervention.
• Update clients care plan and assessment to reflect any changes in mobility, cognitive decline or other clinical signs of deterioration and carry out appropriate nursing interventions to reflect this. Notify GP to review.

My responsibilities and duties working as a Registered Nurse at both aged care faciities; BaptistCare and RSL Lifecare were very similar and had the ultimate goal of providing the residents with good quality and holistic care and promoting a sense of independence in their daily living.

Responsible for inserting a cannula into a clients vein to do a CT scan and administer a contrast agent, most commonly an iodine based substance to enhance the images and certain structures in the body.

Consent form to be completed by client prior to scan and procedure explained and possible allergic reactions or side effects.

Follow-up care and instructions given.

Assist radiologist with minor procedures.

Cleaning instruments in autoclave and other similar duties.
