Yes, I have teaching approval to teach Visual Arts and teaching approval to teach Digital media/Photography. I am a proficient TAS Computer teacher/Visual Arts Teacher. My strengths are in Digital photography, digital media (Adobe Suites, Photoshop - photo-editing, using laser printing and 3D printing technologies). I have also taught traditional dark-room methods in photographic processes, and analogue photography.

I have taught all aspects of Visual Arts and TAS subjects from Yr7-12 over the span of my teaching career of 25 years in a wide range of schools from the eastern suburbs to the south rural regions of NSW.

Yes, I have extensive experience in applying differentiation and high-quality teaching methods to maximise learning outcomes for students with diverse learning needs. I have implemented these strategies throughout my teaching practice and annotated my NCCD evidence in support of students IEP/ learning adjustments as advised. I am currently completing my Masters in Inclusive Education in 2024, to further advance my skills/knowledge in addressing differentiation in teaching practise.

Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, wellbeing and engagement.

In my 25 years of teaching from the private to public sector, I have always successfully established and nurtured collaborative relationships with all my students to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Regularly engaged with parents through parent-teacher meetings, ensuring open communication and discussing strategies for enhancing student performance and well-being.

  • Facilitated and participated as the TAS Faculty co-ordinator for Technology (mandatory) Engineering, to oversee all teaching programs/ assessments, project management. Participated in all school-based professional development sessions with colleagues to foster a school culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the TAS faculty and Visual Arts faculty's enrichment program.

The creation of innovative teaching resources that align with CAPA curriculum objectives for the Visual Arts Enrichment program at Campbelltown Performing Arts High School, in fostering an environment of creativity and skill development. In previous Visual Art teaching rolls, I have taught ceramics, drawing, sculpture, painting in addition to Digital Media and Industrial Technology multimedia within the TAS faculty.

As I am a TAS trained and Visual Arts trained Teacher, I have collaborated across two faculties, with colleagues from other disciplines such as Science to integrate an engineering unit in Kinetic Mobiles which is an arts inspired approach into a broader interdisciplinary project-based learning style, contributing to a holistic educational experience for students.
