Professional Experience (Practicum)

2022

Across the first year of the Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology course I have undertaken various professional practice activities;


  • The Okey Dokey Social Groups program (21st and 28th of April) where I gained experience co-facilitating vacation time groups to assist in improving social communication skills in children. This allowed me to work with children from a variety of different ages (Grades prep to Year 6).
  • The Sleep Assessment Service (7th of August) where I gained experience in providing feedback sessions to participants of varying ages, based on their sleep assessment outcomes. I also provided participants with relevant psychoeducation on their sleep.
  • The School Based Assessment – WJ-IV Learning Profile (1st and 8th of August) where I gained experience in administering the WJ-IV to secondary school students, scoring and interpreting their WJ-IV results, writing a brief summary report and noting down observations.
  • The Krongold Clinic Triage and Clinical Support (weekly once from the 16th of August to 11th of November). My duties included handling intake calls with clients, managing clinical administration responsibilities (including replying/sending emails to clients, answering/making phone calls to clients) and taking part in client assessment observations.

Psychological Assessment
