  • Feedback Fever: evaluating the quantity and quality of feedback for MDHS students, and co-designing staff workshops with Learning and Teaching Leads.
  • PhD Re-Vitalisation Program: establishing an independent, external body that advocates for research students across different institutions, supporting them to collaborate, exchange insights, speak up, and engage in wellbeing and professional development activates.

  • Worked for ~25h/week average within the Strasser Lab to investigate the efficacy of BH3 mimetic drugs in triggering programmed cell death as targeted treatment for medulloblastoma and glioblastoma multiforme.
  • Aimed to enhance BH3 mimetic therapy through co-targeting the hedgehog signalling pathway in vitro.
  • Main responsibilities included reviewing literature, preparing figures, carrying out experiments, analysing data using computer software, and maintaining laboratory records.
  • Techniques: flow cytometry, tissue culture, cell-based assays, small molecule drug testing, InCucyte live cell imaging, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting

  • Designed and delivered 4 x 2h workshops each day to school students, monks, hilltribe communities, and police officers of Mae Sariang, Thailand.
  • Focused on the theme of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), with the aim of introducing cheap and practical mitigation strategies for local issues.
  • Worked closely with people in rehabilitation centers on social and emotional health, by translating research-based practices into original and creative sessions.
  • Led culture-sensitive, non-medicalised discussions on mental ill-health as genuine human experiences.
  • Aspects of somatisation were explored through phenomenological concepts.
