Reef Experience was my first vessel as master,/engineer, on a day trip vessel with up to 15 crew and 100 passengers, it was a massive step in my boating career and provided me with a platform to launch my career as a proven master, my duties included the running and coordination of daily trips out to the reef, with a crew of up to 10 and passengers up to 100, it was an exhilarating first drive with a busy and demanding vessel with so many people aboard, all engineering duties during the trips as well as scheduled maintenance and day to day running and troubleshooting problems of a very busy and high demand vessels

My role with Mike Ball allowed me to gain crucial experience working on the deck/engineering side of the vessel
As the First mate my responsibilities included watch keeping (both night and day), maneuvering, anchoring and general day to day operations
I was responsible for all general maintenance of the structure of the vessel, all mooring ropes and lines, in charge of repairing and underwater maintenance, as well as ordering and building new moorings
I was also responsible for the keeping the vessel clean to very high standards
My engineering responsibilities included the day to day running, servicing and maintenance of all machinery on board the vessel for a week at a time, including main engines, auxiliary devices, water desalinators, air conditioning, refrigeration, diving compressors, as well as all repair and maintenance of almost everything that needed repairs on aboard a 20-year-old vessel

As dive supervisor my role was to ensure the smooth running of tightly scheduled 3 day live board trips, all legal documents and paperwork connected to the trips were in order, general maintenance days, servicing equipment and keeping the customers satisfied, as a dive instructor running courses for up to 20 people in one of the busiest dive schools in the world.
