  • Duties included (morning shift)
  • Transferring people out of bed
  • Personal care/bowel routine/ grooming/dressing.
  • clients participated with what they could do for themselves ie make their own meals, , do their own housework, keep their specialist appointments, make their way around in the outside community. Any of these tasks were assisted by a carer, if needed
  • Use of hoists, slide boards, slide sheets and other assistive technologies appropriate for people with disabilities.
  • Job related training for including back care, infection control, anger management, client independence
