Research

Project: Mood-driven Colorization

  • Using PyTorch framework, modified the existed models in arXiv:1603.08511 [cs.CV] and introduced emotion selection as a vector into the fully connected layer of the image generation model;
  • Developed a visually appealing real-time colorization system to generate colorization effects according to different emotion selections.

Project: X-ray Spine Scoliosis Detection Algorithm Based on Deep Learning

  • Selected the skip connection structure of "U-net" from various image segmentation networks;
  • Incorporated Transformer structures to create an improved model that boasts higher accuracy and speed;
  • Developed an algorithm that can identify and segment relevant vertebrae from a full-spine X-ray image to calculate the Cobb angle (a medical term used to assess the severity of scoliosis) and then automatically generate the detection result.
