Dedicated family daycare educator provides children with safe and nurturing learning environment. Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Wenyang undertook a three-week placement in January 2018 in a bilingual Arabic-Hebrew speaking Early Childhood context in Haifa, Israel. Wenyang engaged with the placement experience in a warm and comfortable manner. Wenyang developed good rapport with her mentor teacher and her Monash University colleague. She used her knowledge of a play-based approach to interact with mentor teachers and children. She settled in with ease and confidence. Wenyang played with the children in an intentional way enhancing their learning and conceptual knowledge. She observed and listened to the teaching approach being implemented at the centre. She quickly settled into routines and in spite of the language barriers she engaged with the children in an expressive way. The children showed their willingness to work with Wenyang and were willing to engage in conversation and play with her. Wenyang demonstrated a professional and sensitive manner and developed an intercultural awareness of the context she was working in. I wish Wenyang all the best for her future professional endeavours Kind Regards Anne Keary (Lecturer - Faculty of Education, Monash University, Clayton Australia)
