From June 1993 until June 2012, I was employed by the South Africa Police, and I held the rank of Warrant Officer in the Public Order Police Unit at the time of my resignation, due to emigrating to Australia with my family. I served on various task teams in my time with the South Africa Police, namely the Air Support Task Team, the Abalone Task Team and the Rapid Response Team. I also performed Special Duties outside of my jurisdiction, which included border duties. My family and I emigrated to Melbourne in August 2012, and in July 2013, I was accepted at the Victoria Police Academy to commence my training as a Protective Services Officer. I graduated from the Academy in October 2013, and started my field training at Victoria Police Command Centre for 3 months. I remained in my role as Protective Services Officer until July 2015, when I resigned to commence employment with G4S Custodial Services. In May 2025, I resigned from my role in G4S Custodial Services and commenced employment with the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Corrections Victoria at Western Plains Correctional Centre.
