  • Since 2022 I have been part of the Grays Online team
  • The position of auction coordinator has allowed me to manage study, work, training, and coaching as well as working around my sporting trips away
  • It has also allowed me to see a different side to a business, being the day-to-day workload involved in a large business
  • It also showed me the importance of teamwork and how important it is to use the team to help fix problems instead of trying to go it alone.

  • Since the beginning of this year I have been part of the Australia Born 07 & 08 coaching staff
  • I worked closely with former Australian Olympic coach John Fox on player development for these age groups and was given the honor of being named the Head Coach for the born 07 team that toured to America in late June early July
  • This position allowed to me to grow my knowledge as a coach by seeing different structures in a different country
  • It also allowed me to work with high-performance athletes on game-day routines, conditioning, mindsets, and performance pressure.

Somerville House Lifeguard

  • From 2019 until 2022 I was employed as a lifeguard at Somerville House Aquatic Centre
  • I picked up a lot of useful skills working there. These being teamwork, cleaning, health and safety and communication
  • Being at the counter I further developed my communication, whether it be with disgruntled parents or casual swimmers.

  • Since July of 2021 I have been the head coach of the U17's Queensland team that competed in the Summer Slam and the National Championships
  • This position has allowed me to coach in a more professional setting and given me the chance to give more in-depth feedback to players on areas to of improvement.

Brisbane Barracudas Water Polo
2016.08 - Current
  • Since 2016 I have been employed as an under U12's, 14's and 16's water polo coach for Brisbane Barracudas
  • This includes coaching the Barracudas U14's team for Nationals in 2019, 2020 & 2021 and the U16's team for Nationals in 2022 & 2023
  • These positions have required me to work closely with both the boys and their parents to achieve excellence in their water polo skills and teamwork
  • I develop training programs and monitor player progression
  • I thoroughly enjoy coaching and helping players achieve their water polo goals.

Referee

Brisbane Water Polo
2015.08 - Current
  • Since 2015 I have been employed as a referee for the BWPI competition at the Valley Pool
  • In addition, I have refereed for the State Title Competition and National Title Competition at the Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler
  • This position has required me to work in a team environment, which includes other referees, scorers, team coaches and managers
  • This role requires me to ensure that both competing teams adhere to the rules of play as set by Water-Polo Queensland
  • This includes player protection, gameday rules, coach/manager engagement and following Think Act Play guidelines.

  • From 2016 to 2023 I was the coach of water polo at BBC for grade 7, grade 8's, grade 9's and this for the 1sts
  • These positions have required me to work closely with the boys whilst following the school's mission, vision and values
  • I enjoy coaching the BBC boys because it allows me to give back to the school and share my love for the sport with boys from my old school.
