While I have been assistant coaching at Ultimate MX Motocross, I have learnt to communicate effectively and positively towards our younger riders, to ensure and promote confident safe riders.
I have learnt to follow complex instruction from other coach staff and relay in effective communication.
I am currently developing further skills while working in a group environment and a leadership role I can take into the work force and apply.
When I was volunteering within the age care home, I assisted care staff with tasks, to help maximise their time with their residents and ensure the upmost care was given.
While these tasks may have been dishes, rubbish and stocking - I learnt to act proactively, to think forward ensuring staff were equipped with the essentials. I learnt detailed organisational skills to help prompt a smooth transition for staff and residents
Scouts have taught me life skills; which I can use within the work force - including positive communication, manual skills and appreciation of understanding everyone's differences.
