Roles And Responsibilities

  • ECT Coordinator, Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including nurses on the ward, Anesthetist, Anesthetic Nurse, Psychiatrist, Psych Registrar and Surgical Care Unit team to provide integrated and effective treatment., Prioritize the ECT list according to acuity of consumers and the ward needs., Effective time management; to consider the time requirement within the ECT team in PACU., Ensure correct and adequate paperwork to proceed treatment under Mental Health Act and to troubleshoot if their paperwork was absent or inadequate., Discuss ECT treatment plan and follow up with treating team to ensure consumers receive ECT treatments on time., Review consumers before and after ECT to ensure their comfort with ECT treatment., Familiarize with specific consumers' psychological and medical needs and liaise with the team to fulfill their needs.
