My academic journey brought me to Melbourne in Year 11, having already completed Year 9 and Year 10 VCE courses prior to my arrival.
Coming from an academic family, with both of my parents serving as professors at Fudan University, I have been deeply inspired by their passion for education. Influenced by their dedication, I developed a profound enthusiasm for teaching from an early age.
As part of my studies at Monash University, I have undertaken six teaching placements, gaining hands-on experience in six different schools over the course of 85 full teaching days. This immersive internship experience has further solidified my commitment to education, inspiring me to actively engage in school-based work beyond university hours.
Since mid-2023, I have been working as a teacher at a weekend Chinese school, where I deliver engaging lessons to students of diverse backgrounds. This experience has strengthened my classroom management skills, instructional adaptability, and ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner. Teaching in a bilingual environment has also enhanced my communication skills and deepened my understanding of differentiated instruction.
