Research

  • - Feb 2024: Research on Ustekinumab reinduction rates in IBD: Collected a large patient
cohort's data on ustekinumab and found reinducting the drug increased time on the medication
in total and remission rates. We submitted this research to ECCO and presented our findings at
the ECCO international conference of IBD in Sweden.
    - Jan 2024: Audit on sputum sampling on a respiratory ward at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital: I
found a small percentage of sputum samples were being sent, even though they would be
beneficial to patient care and management. We then produced posters and educated staff and
found a higher proportion of sputum samples were being collected
-August 2022: Elective Project exploring some of the reasons for health inequalities between
Aboriginal and non-aboriginal Australians. This research allowed me to delve into some of the
barriers Aboriginal Australians face to receiving optimal health care and so made me more
aware and passionate to help lessen these health inequalities.
