Work History

Producer and Co-writer of Short Film

Self-employed and in Collaboration With ASEAN Youth
06.2025 - Current

This was my first project in the visual arts industry. I am currently leading a group consisting of 3 videographers, 3 actors and 2 co-writers (including myself). ASEAN Youth reached out and proposed a collaboration, which my team and I accepted.

This project tested and pushed my networking skills in terms of resource acquisition, casting and navigating a team. It also broadened my creative viewpoint and taught me that messages can be inferred instead of constantly being spoon fed to the audience. The projected release of this short film will be between end of July to start of August and will be posted on all ASEAN youth platforms.

Intern

Brunei Darussalam Arbitration Centre Berhad (BDAC)
12.2024 - 01.2025

This experience was purely educational and was done in an effort to expand my view of the legal field beyond lawyers and law firms. Through this experience, I was able to explore the basics of arbitration and mediation, its focus on impartiality and how this process differs from the traditional legal route. This improved my skill in problem solving and critical thinking.

Intern

ZS Legal, Law Firm
11.2024 - 12.2024

This experience was purely educational, I was under the wing of an appointed pupil as well as a civil lawyer. I was given the opportunity to attend trials, both civil and shariah, and read into varying cases, applying knowledge from The Law of Torts, Ratanlal and Dhirajlal. This experience gave me crucial insight into the inner workings of a law firm, trial procedures, and a glimpse of how an established lawyer proceeds with clients and cases

CEO and Founder

Growth Brunei
10.2022 - 12.2023
  • At the age of 16, I started Brunei's very first 100% led youth initiative where we focused mainly on giving back to the community. Most memorably, my team and I managed to raise and donate over BND3000 to COVID relief through an online music concert. Additionally, we hosted an in person and open-to-the-public musical, dance and visual arts exhibition. Not only did this develop my soft skills, it also assisted me in developing my leadership as well as event management skills. It is with this experience where I learned how to liaise with government officials, specifically the Ministry of culture, youth and sport and the Ministry of home affairs.

Project lead and founder

Projek Matahari
10.2023 - 12.2023
  • Projek Matahari is a bimonthly out of school programme that took place at a community service centre in Kampong Ayer, a low income neighbourhood in Brunei. My team and I taught kids from the area English on a fundamental level, fostered environmental education and encouraged the growth soft skills. I created this programme and used social media as a tool to gather like minded youths who later became my teammates. As part of my role, I was the main 'teacher' for our English programmes.

Intern

Globex
12.2022 - 01.2023
  • I was given the role of creating and managing an advertisement campaign for the company's product. This involved curating and editing videos showcasing the products to suit the public eye. This particular internship helped me develop my technological skills.

Intern, ASEAN Youth Advocates

ASEAN

- Organized and assisted in planning an online conference with figures from across the region.

- Represented youths in my country as a panel speaker with a youth empowerment focus

Intern

The Collective
06.2022 - 08.2022
  • During my time under this social enterprise, I participated in event planning which helped hone my organisational and time management skills. Working under The Collective also enhanced my socialising and networking skills as I was introduced to various different people inside and outside the company. I also handled online orders and communicated with customers for an e-commerce website handled by The Collective.

Intern

ASEAN Youth Advocates Network Brunei
06.2022 - 08.2022
